1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SouthCarSell.co.uk ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
2. Description of Service
SouthCarSell is a free local classifieds platform connecting buyers and sellers of cars, vans, motorbikes, and parts in the Southampton area. We do not buy, sell, or take ownership of any vehicles.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into contracts to use this Service.
4. User Responsibilities
- You are solely responsible for the accuracy and legality of your listings
- You warrant that you own the vehicle/part or have permission to sell it
- You must provide truthful information (price, mileage, condition, etc.)
- You agree to respond to buyers in a timely and courteous manner
- No stolen vehicles, salvage without clear disclosure, or illegal items
5. Prohibited Activities
- Posting false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
- Harassing, threatening, or abusing other users
- Spamming or bulk messaging
- Attempting to bypass our platform to avoid optional featured fees
- Using bots or automated tools to scrape data
6. Featured ("Star") Listings
Users may pay £10 to promote a listing with a gold border and "Star Listing" label. Only three Star Listings are allowed at any one time. Payment is non-refundable once the slot is taken.
7. Limitation of Liability
SouthCarSell acts only as a venue. We do not:
- Inspect vehicles or verify mileage/history
- Handle payments or transfers of ownership
- Offer any warranty or guarantee
All transactions are private sales between users. You accept full responsibility for any deal you make.
8. Intellectual Property
The SouthCarSell name, logo, and platform design are protected. You may not copy or reproduce any part without written permission.
9. Termination
We may suspend or delete any account or listing that violates these terms without notice.
10. Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance.
